For many mattress makers and brands, the first hurdle with natural latex is not the material. It is the order size. Latex is often bought by the container, and a full container is a large commitment for a business that is launching a new model, testing a new firmness, or selling a few hundred mattresses a season rather than a few thousand.

This article explains why container orders are hard for smaller buyers, how US warehouse stock and smaller production runs work, and what to send us so we can quote quickly.

Why Container Orders Are Hard for Smaller Buyers

A container order makes sense when you know exactly what you will sell. For a smaller buyer, it creates four problems.

  • Cash tied up in stock. A full container is paid for long before the last piece is sold. For a growing brand, that money is often needed for covers, marketing or the next product.
  • Storage space. Latex should be stored flat or on a supportive surface, not folded or compressed for long periods. A full load needs a lot of floor space, and space costs money.
  • Too much of one specification. A container is usually filled with a small number of specifications. If one firmness or size does not sell as expected, you are left holding more of it than you want.
  • Risk on a new product. When you launch a new model, you do not yet know which sizes and firmness levels will sell. Committing to a container before the market has answered is a gamble.

None of this means container orders are wrong. For established lines with steady demand, they are often the most practical way to buy. The point is that your order size should follow your sales, not the other way around.

Option 1: US Warehouse Stock

Selected Monozone natural latex mattress cores are held in US warehouse stock. Stock covers popular ILDs and standard US sizes in Monozone construction, so you can order a smaller quantity without meeting a full container minimum.

Ordering from stock has two practical advantages:

  • Faster delivery. It ships from US warehouse stock instead of waiting on production and shipping time.
  • No container required. You order the quantity you need for your next production run.

Stock is limited to select specifications. If you need a zoned core, a custom size or any product other than a Monozone core, it is supplied to order instead. What is in stock changes over time, so tell us the ILD, thickness and size you need and we will confirm what is currently available. See our US Stock page for more.

Option 2: Smaller Production Runs

We supply from container-scale orders down to smaller production runs. If what you need is not in US stock, a smaller run lets you order your own specification without filling a container. That covers the full range: 5 Zone and 7 Zone cores, toppers, layers and sheets, blocks, pillows and graphite infused latex.

Minimum order quantities depend on the product and the specification, so we confirm them with each quote rather than publishing one figure for everything. Lead time works the same way. It depends on the order size and on whether items come from US stock or are supplied to order, and we confirm timing with every quote.

Choosing Between Stock and a Smaller Run

US warehouse stock Smaller production run
Products Selected Monozone mattress cores The full range
Specification Popular ILDs and standard US sizes Your ILD, thickness and size, with custom sizes on request
Timing Ships from US warehouse stock Supplied to order, with timing confirmed in your quote
Best for Standard cores you reorder often New models, zoned cores and custom builds

Many buyers use both: standard cores from stock for steady sellers, and a smaller run for a new model. As your volumes grow, a container order becomes a natural next step. We plan order volumes and timing around your own sales patterns, whether that means a recurring reorder schedule or scaling up around a seasonal push.

Start With a Sample

Before you order any quantity, it helps to have the latex in your hands. Free sample kits are available for businesses, and each kit is made up to your request, so you can compare firmness levels side by side before you decide. Request a free sample kit.
